Cornell Plantations

Cornell Plantations
Continued growth and leadership of this pioneer among public gardens depends upon attracting and retaining top experts in their field. Endowing positions for professional staff is a high priority for Plantations, including the director of education, the director of horticulture, and the director of natural areas. This team is central to Plantations’ mission to preserve and enhance diverse horticultural collections and natural areas, support scientific research, and increase environmental awareness among people of all ages. To develop the next generation of leaders who will steward nature preserves, public gardens, and environmental organizations, Plantations also seeks to endow graduate fellowships in its unique Public Garden Leadership program.
