North Campus

Designed to ensure that first-year students thrive

First-year students live together on North Campus and begin their Cornell education with a distinctive residential experience that builds community and class unity. North Campus facilities include both contemporary and older, renovated residence halls, as well as Appel Commons, a fully equipped dining hall and student center. Gifts to name spaces on North Campus—which is fully paid for—help fund spaces and programs on West Campus.
